The Viking Longboat was a potent symbol of life, livelihood, one's journey through life, the afterlife, and was used by the Norse for transport, in trade, in warfare, and as a burial vessel for centuries. Fjorgyn is a personification of earth in Norse mythology, and the mother of the thunder god Thor, the son of Odin.
