A circular arrangement of colorful plastic market stools rises from the open playa, inspired by the dense social seating found in Southeast Asian night markets and street food gatherings. The installation consists of 15–25 permanently secured stools arranged in concentric circles that naturally bring participants into close proximity. In a desert where seating is rare, the piece becomes both refuge and social infrastructure: a place where conversations, shared meals, performances, and spontaneous gatherings emerge throughout the day and night. Soft lighting transforms the structure into a warm beacon after dark, celebrating hospitality, human connection, and the communal spirit of public gathering spaces around the world.
