About
We are a group of children (6-13 year-olds) from China, and we have made a WiFi jail. We think people are imprisoned by their phones and screens all the time. Anywhere we go, people always ask, "What's the WiFi password?" We don't look up anymore. We wanted to show what it looks if we made a blown-up version of the prison we're carrying around in our pocket. As the new generation, we're growing up inside of this so it's even harder to escape. As a performance art piece, we will dress as little Black Rock Rangers, and when we catch people on their phones, we will put them in the cell. Phones - connecting you with people far away - disconnecting you from those closest to you. Unplug to reconnect.
