About

The World's Highest Picnic Table explodes a familiar symbol of community into a monument. A table is the most fundamental thing humans create to bring people together. By scaling it sky-high, we turn this emblem of connection into a physical manifesto: the idea that community isn't passive, but something you have to actively build, climb, and claim together. In the Deep Playa, it creates a surreal optical illusion. Because its traditional picnic table proportions are perfectly preserved, it warps your sense of scale until tiny silhouettes of burners at its top reveal its true height. At night, embedded lighting channels trace its structural lines, transforming it into a floating beacon of warmth, gathering in the darkness.
